NewAI day for EAs
The course at a glance
The Strategic EA Masterclass 2027 is a two-day course from The Leadership Institute for executive and personal assistants. Day One, with EA coach Jacqueline Delarue, builds the influence and strategic thinking to move from supporting to leading. Day Two is a hands-on AI day built around the work EAs actually do, mostly in Microsoft Copilot. It runs in Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne in February and March 2027, and live online on 9 and 10 March. Each day is booked separately.

Day Two
Bring your work laptop · no Copilot licence needed
You manage the diary, the inbox, the board papers and the confidences. Half the time you know what is happening in the organisation before your executive does. Yet the meeting invitations, the budget and the development spend still tend to go to everyone else first.
Now AI has landed on your desktop, and it raises a question nobody has answered for you: does it make your role smaller, or much bigger? The EAs who learn to use it well will become the people their executives can’t do without. The ones who wait will find someone else in the office already has.
This masterclass is built for both halves of that shift. Day One, with Jacqueline Delarue, builds the mindset, influence and strategic thinking to move from supporting to leading. Day Two is a hands-on day using AI across the work you actually do: your inbox, diary, meetings, briefs and board papers. It focuses mostly on Microsoft Copilot, but covers whichever tools your organisation allows.
Attend either day on its own, or take both and go back to your executive with a new way of working and a plan to prove it.
Making the case to your executive
Three reasons that get this approved:
Time back for both of you. Workflows that cut hours from inbox, diary and meeting admin every week.
AI used safely. Know what can and can’t go into an AI tool, so your executive’s confidential information stays protected.
Results you can report. A 30-day plan, and a report back on the hours you’ve saved.
Every delegate receives a certificate of attendance.

Questions
Before you book
Can I book just one day?
Yes. Day One (Leadership) and Day Two (AI for EAs) are booked separately. Book both and save up to $399.
Which day is right for me?
Day One is for EAs who want to move from support to strategic partner: influence, communication and a leadership plan. Day Two is for EAs who want to use AI well in their daily work. Many delegates take both, and go back with a new way of working and a plan to prove it.
Do I need to be good with technology for Day Two?
No. Day Two starts with what you already have access to and builds from there. It is designed for EAs, not IT specialists, and every exercise uses real EA tasks.
Do I need a Microsoft Copilot licence?
No. Day Two focuses mostly on Microsoft Copilot because that is what most organisations use, but it also covers free Copilot Chat, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and GovAI Chat. You will learn to get real value from whatever your organisation allows.
What should I bring?
Please bring your work laptop to Day Two, so you practise on your own tools and your organisation’s settings. If your organisation restricts access from outside the office, let us know and we will help you prepare.
Is there an online option?
Yes. Both days run live on Zoom on Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 March 2027, from 9:00am to 5:00pm Sydney time, with the same content, exercises and certificate as the in-person days.
How much does it cost?
At First In rates (until 27 November 2026), one day costs $1,099 + GST in person or $899 + GST online, and both days cost $1,899 or $1,599. Early Bird rates run until 29 January 2027, then Standard rates apply. Groups of 3–4 save 10%, 5–9 save 15% and 10 or more save 25%.
Where is it held?
Karstens Adelaide (16–17 February), Karstens Perth (17–18 February), Karstens Brisbane (23–24 February), Cliftons Canberra (24–25 February), Karstens Sydney (2–3 March) and Karstens Melbourne (3–4 March 2027), and live online on 9–10 March.
How do I get my executive to approve it?
Use the “Email my executive for approval” button on this page. It opens a ready-written email with the dates, price and why it matters, which you can edit before you send. You can also attach the brochure.
Can a colleague attend one day and me the other?
Yes, split registrations can be arranged. Contact us and we will set it up.
What if I can’t make it?
You can send a substitute at no cost, or transfer to another Leadership Institute event. Cancellations emailed to us receive a credit note valid for 12 months; within 14 days of the event the credit note is less a $300 service fee. We do not provide cash refunds.
